Launch note from the founder

Hi everyone!

Welcome to Every Penny Counts. My name is Anay Gandhi, and I’m a rising junior at the University of Massachusetts Amherst’s honors college studying computer science and economics. On campus, I'm also a part of the Minutemen Fixed Income Fund where I conduct high-yield credit research.

I’ve always been passionate about understanding the intricacies of finance and how it impacts our daily lives. During my academic journey, I realized that many people, regardless of their background, struggle with managing their finances. Traditional education fails to adequately address practical financial skills and literacy, leaving many individuals unprepared for real-world financial challenges. I have observed this disparity through different stories of missed opportunities and failure to capitalize on financial advantages as well as during my first large corporate-level internship last summer. This inspired me to create Every Penny Counts, a non-profit organization aimed at bridging the gap in financial education.

My mission is simple: to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to achieve financial stability and independence. With the support of my team, I plan to offer a variety of courses and resources that cover essential topics such as budgeting, saving, investing, taxes, and credit management. Our vision is to create a world where financial literacy is universally accessible, enabling everyone to make informed decisions and secure their financial future.

Financial literacy is a lifelong journey and the team at Every Penny Counts wants to provide support every step of the way. Whether you are just starting to learn about personal finance or looking to refine your existing knowledge, we can make every penny count for you.
